Alfredo Austin was born in Delaware and studied music business. As a studio musician, Alfredo recorded countless tracks in the vocal industry while writing and producing his own songs. As a performer, Fredo sang on The Daly Show, taught conservatory students, and toured the US before joining The Exchange.
Christopher Diaz was born in Virginia and studied Vocal Performance and Russian literature. Chris’s love of a cappella music was heard as co-host on the widely popular podcast “Mouth-Off.” He later worked as Vocal Coach and Arranger on NBC’s The Sing-Off. He has worked with hundreds of groups and thousands of singers of all levels. He is the music director of The Exchange.
Jamal Moore was born in Georgia and studied music in college. His studies in classical music led to stints with the Wynton Marsalis choir. He performed on The Sing Off with The University of Rochester Yellowjackets.
Aaron Sperber was born in New York and studied music in college where he met Jamal. Aaron also learned cello as a child and was surrounded by music his entire life. After competing on The Sing Off on NBC, Aaron formed The Exchange and hand-picked the members of the group. His hard work and undying spirit have propelled the group further at each step.
Richard Steighner was born in Colorado and studied Design and Psychology. His self-taught career in music started as a guitarist when he was introduced to a cappella. Richard sang in and created over a dozen musical acts, developed vocal events and festivals, and became a ubiquitous figure in vocal music across the country. His career grew as a finalist on The Sing Off, where he competed against and met Aaron.
